Programme Information:

The Department of Sociology started education in 2009-2010 and gave its first graduates in 2013. Within the Department of Sociology, there are 1 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, 3 Research Assistants and 10 academic personnel in total.
The aims of the Department of Sociology are to train sociologists who can produce ideas about the structure of society, social rules and social relations, social groups, culture and the changes and developments that occur from these elements, investigate the change, development and structure of societies, and make generalisations with the information revealed by research and explanations.The Master's Programme received its first students in the spring semester of 2023-2024.

Mission:

Our mission is to promote and support excellence in graduate education and research. The Deparment  develops common goals with departments and programs, sets common standards and encourages best  practices for implementation across disciplines. The Deparment values  cooperation, integrity, efficiency, and innovation while fulfilling its mission.

Vİsion: 

Our department encourages trans-national disciplines to promote cooperation or interdisciplinary cooperation. The Deparment  aims to create a new synergy in research and teaching through a wide range of interdisciplinary programs on specific topics of field work and number.
